I hope you are well and enjoying the fall weather. Our Bring-A-Friend lecture series has been a success! We enjoy the opportunity to educate our patients on new health trends and to introduce our patients to other like-minded medical providers. If you have not had a chance to join us, then I encourage you to come to our next lecture on January 30.

As cold and flu season approaches, we want you to have the most accurate information regarding over-the-counter (OTC) remedies. Recently, the FDA reported new data on the OTC sinus decongestant, phenylephrine. The data do not support the use of phenylephrine as an effective nasal decongestant. Instead of phenylephrine, try using OTC sudafed which is more effective, unless you have high blood pressure. Or consider taking an antihistamine like OTC cetirizine or fexofenadine. However if you have problems with urination or dizziness, then these can be problematic, as well. If you ever have any questions about which medicine is right for you, just give us a call. That's why you're in a concierge practice!

Also, you should know that free COVID-19 tests are available to order from the government. Follow this link to learn more.
